Follow us Nomads to Amritsar, home to the Golden Temple (Harmindar Sahib), the holiest, most sacred Gurdwara in the Sikh religion. It is a pilgrimage site that people of all religious persuasions, undertake from far and wide to pay homage to a faith which opens it’s four doors – one facing each direction symbolising a welcome to all who wish to contribute to public service and reverence to God. You will also participate in langar which is a communal meal where all sit to eat regardless of social status. Langars are served by volunteers at all Sikh Gurdwaras, wherever they may be in the world but the langar at the Golden Temple is special indeed. This will be followed by a visit to the Jallianwala Bagh, the Partition Museum and the famous Wagah Border. Come experience this spiritual journey through our personal lens and be transported to a serene atmosphere of inner peace…

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct travel documentation and visas for your trip. This is critical as without the correct paperwork you will almost certainly be denied entry to the country you are visiting, or be prevented from boarding your international flight to that country. Please also note that most countries require that your passport is machine readable and has at least 6 months remaining until expiry and after your date of return home. In many countries, you will also need at least 2 consecutive blank pages available in your passport for entry stamps & visas to be granted on arrival.

It is essential and a condition of booking with WanderingNomad.Life that you have or arrange adequate comprehensive insurance cover for personal liability, medical, and holiday cancellation (including to cover for round trip flights from home country, injury, illness, emergency medical evacuation, death, repatriation, loss or damage of property, cancellation and curtailment) to be valid from the date when the contract between us comes into existence until the holiday is completed.

We recommend visiting your doctor or a travel clinic at least 6 weeks before booking your trip to ensure you have taken the correct travel precautions and to ensure you have the correct vaccinations needed for your trip. As some vaccinations need to be taken over a period of many weeks or even months before your departure in order to be effective, it is really important that you seek medical advice as early as you possibly can.
